Why we love Brett

American Idol:

After kicking the Cowboys' butt:

There are no divas on this team and there could be. Favre has set the tone for the Vikings from the very first day he arrived. On one play he'll thread the needle on a 70 yard touchdown pass and on the next play he'll get penalized for cut blocking a lineman twice his size 40 yards down field. Brett's the leader on the field, in the locker room, and on the sidelines. When the defense is on the field, he's almost as active as when the offense is on the field. He's talking with the coaches, his receivers, the linemen, and the backup quarterbacks. He's always having fun. One thing he's noted for by the other Vikings is his butt slap. When Brett Favre slaps you on the butt, you know it. Players with a welt on their backside in the shape of Brett's hand know they've done good. At 40 years old, it's hard to imagine the enthusiasm he has for the game. Brett Favre truly loves the game of football and he's having what many call the best year of his career. A Super Bowl would be a fitting end to a historic career.
