Time to "Man Up"

Well, let me see. It's time for a brief summarization. Since I last posted, the commanding general in Afghanistan has asked for more troops to complete the mission assigned him by CINC Obama - no answer. The leader of Libya who is personally responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans was given a forum in New York City to rant and rave for 90 minutes. Additionally, he recommended Obama be President for life. The President of Iran, who is the primary supporter of terrorism throughout the world, was given a similar forum at the UN where he once again publicly denied The Holocaust while continuing to advance his country's nuclear capability. Additionally, he was granted an interview on Larry King Live. Hugo Chavez, the despot from Venezuela, commented on the similarities between himself and Obama, and Fidel Castro commented on the "courage" of Obama concerning his views on climate change. So what did Obama do at the UN? He threw Israel under the bus.

There is absolutely no leadership at the top. What's frightening is Obama is going to have to make some hard decisions concerning The War on Terror, Iran, and the economy in the near future. What sort of decisions will he make? I think I know - what would MoveOn.org do? The best thing we can do as citizens is to insure Obama becomes a lame duck President in 2010.

His decisions will hinge on what the polls are saying and what can get him the most votes next time around.

I like to ask myself, "What would Ronald Reagan do?" Reagan didn't care what the polls said. He had a vision for the country, and he was a true leader. He was able to get people behind him, even if they didn't agree with him. And in the end, he usually ended up being right, and the polls would reflect that.

Today's politicians look at the polls first and then try to make a decision. Reagan had a vision and a decision was already made before the polls even asked the question. And he still ended up as one of the most popular presidents ever.

I've pretty much given up on this guy. At first I thought maybe B.O. was a pragmatist and "Yes We Can" make it through this administration, but you quickly learn what he says and actions taken can be vastly different. I'm still of the belief that the man is an empty suit, and his lack of experience and leadership is really showing. I don't think McCain stood a chance but I feel we would be far better off with Hillary - she does have a grasp of world situations. The fact that her positions have to be "corrected" says a lot.

I'm certainly glad Charlie's boots aren't on the ground in Iraq or Afghanistan . That rug is getting ready to be yanked....
