Palin/Bachman 2012!

Both of these women have shown more testicular fortitude than any man in the Republican Party. They both are staunch Conservatives and neither "suffers the fool". Congresswoman Michelle Bachman was one of the first to point out the flaws in the stimulus package and Sarah Palin caught all sorts of political flack for wanting to refuse stimulus money. Both have held real jobs. Palin is dealing with a child with special needs and Bachman has been a foster parent for scores of children in need. They both have executive experience and lots of common sense. Also polls show they have a very large edge with the male vote. And you thought Obama/Biden was historic.

You go girls!

Just a quick mid-summer check-in from Progressive America-I see from the blog we are still on the path to Socialism and the end of civilization as we know it. I must confess to watching a lot of Fox news lately-it is very enjoyable to watch the "spinnin and squirmin"(Ensign, Sanford, Palin, Bachman-internment camp if you fill out your census form-even Glen Beck cringed at that one!!). Until the fall.....

1) Perhaps the best part of Palin's announcement today:

“Life is too short to compromise time and resources... it may be tempting and more comfortable to just keep your head down, plod along, and appease those who demand: "Sit down and shut up", but that's the worthless, easy path; that's a quitter's way out!”

Ah yes..._only in Palin world.....Quitters stick to it.... Winners quit! I think her rambling nonsensical speech touched all the bases: everything from Gen. Douglas MacArthur, the troops, how its better to resign than to become a lame duck that doesn’t do her job(hey-how about setting an example for your last 18 mos. and do a “heckuva job”?), to the rules of basketball(when the going gets tough-pass the ball!). She could take a few lessons from Hillary-look at the abuse and ridicule she endured from Rush and gang for eight years and then became a Senator and now Secretary of State. I think it will be back to running for Iditarod Dog Mush Queen for Sara.

2) In Alaska, state Senator Hollis S. French, a Democrat who filed a letter of intent on Wednesday to run for governor, said, “The idea that ‘The going got tough so I decided to quit’ is inexcusable. That is not an Alaskan value. We celebrate the mushers who drive on through the storm despite the hardship.”

3) Finally, you know it’s bad when even Karl Rove says it’s a “risky strategy”.......

Enjoy the rest of the summer!! I will check back in Sept.-providing I am not in an internment camp or my computer has been confiscated after Obama suspends freedom of speech.

. . . (hey-how about setting an example for your last 18 mos. and do a “heckuva job”?) . . . Like Obama did in the Senate?

Ok...one more post before taking the rest of the summer off.... Seems to me that Obama never "left" his Senate office-if he had lost, he'd still be there(and we wouldn't have Burris!), BUT we would have Vice-President Palin still trying to figure out the structure of our Federal Government:

"When asked by Kate Snow of ABC News, how things would be any different outside of Alaska, were she to run for elective office in the future, Palin responded with a straight face that something she called “the department of law” would protect her from ethics complaints.

“I think on a national level, your department of law there in the White House would look at some of the things that we’ve been charged with and automatically throw them out,” she said."

Ah yes, the "Dept. of Law"! I think that is the office three doors down from the Oval Office-right next to the Dept. of Guns&Ammo. Further down the hall she will find the Dept. of Learnin', which is across from the Dept. of Gasoline and the Dept. of Medicine Men. It's all conveniently located right there under one roof for Sarah when she gets elected-just like Wasilla City Hall so she and Todd can run the whole Guvmint' just like before! And to think she would have been second in command of the world's largest military-what a nightmare(avoided)!!

"Seems to me that Obama never "left" his Senate office" . . . He was never IN it! Too busy campaigning, don't you think? Do you think he REALLY served the people of Illinois as a Senator? I don't.

Sarah Palin had over $500,000 in legal bills combating ethic complaints, the latest of which was filed on Monday about her not spending enough time in the Governor's mansion. The truth be known, she's actually doing the right thing by resigning. What about the governors of Nebraska and Kansas? Didn't they resign their offices for The Greater Good? Or was it the Higher Pay? The Dems should be happy. They got their way in that respect. However, be aware. The Law of Unintended Consequences is always in effect.

As far as her being the second in command of the world's largest military I would love to see the reception she would get from our combat troops vs. the one "Gaffe" gets.

Make that the governors of Arizona and Kansas.

The "law department" comment was a misspeak. She was actually talking about the The Law Czar. You know, those people in the Obama Administration appointed with no Congressional approval with unlimited power being paid who knows how much with taxpayers' money. One of the "Broz".
