This man needs to be in assisted living.

When Jimmy Carter became involved in Habitats for Humanity post Presidency, I thought he was a good man. When he became an "election monitor" for emerging democracies, I thought it was a good thing (although there has been some controversy involved with that). But he was the first President in the history of the Republic to make derogatory comments about a sitting President. Having served in the Armed Forces under the Carter presidency, I know how incompetent a Commander in Chief he was. I lost a good friend in the aborted, indecisive, Iranian hostage rescue attempt. I find it hard to believe this man is an Academy grad. Now he's talking to terrorists, something the United States has always avoided. Maybe he's trying to make up for the worst Presidency in modern history. I don't know what his motivation is, but he needs to move quietly on to someplace where he will do no more harm.
