Mr. Cool


Thanks to Ted for providing this photo of Dad. I always thought Dad was cool, because he (Dad) told me so. I think this photo illustrates that fact. Not many men wore their hats in such a manner in the late '40s - at least not in photos I've seen of those days. One thing for sure is that most men wore hats. Anyway, I think the hat is cool and I'm also impressed with the professional way he tied his tie. Which, by the way, is one legacy that lives on. The knot in his tie is the one he taught me to tie. He was a good man.

Quite the trend setter. Amazing how photos can reenergize memories. He was a great Dad who taught us all how to laugh. When he & Charles got together you just knew there was trouble brewing.
