Friday morning, a large male manatee was discovered in the pool belonging to local Palm City, Florida residents, Mike and Mary West. When asked how the manatee managed to get into the pool which was surrounded by a screened enclosure, Mr. West stated, "I have no idea. There's a stream behind our home, but I can't imagine a manatee this size being able to crawl across the yard, not disturb our combat croquet court, open the screen door, and roll into the pool. It's just inconceivable."
West immediately called the Florida wildlife authorities to remove the manatee. However, due to the size of this animal, the FWA was forced to call the highway dept to provide a crane to remove the large animal. "Fortunately there was no damage, other than the amount of water I'll have to replace in my pool. It could've been worse.", said West.

From the coloration, this appears to be a Northern manatee.
By the way, glad y'all had fun down there. We really wish we could have been there.
If Clay has any Academy questions that would be better served by a 2003 grad as opposed to a 1973 grad, tell him to not hesitate to shoot me a line or call me. Really excited about him following in your (our) footsteps!
LOL! I saw the headline in my google reader and thought "what the heck" and then saw it was from you. The winter month gain is understandable given the influx of good cooking for a change. C'mon back down whenever you can. Next time, we'll try to get Justin & Kacey and Ted & Care and maybe Kay & Jeff here at the same time.
That was hilarious. Best. Post. Ever.
That is funny. Really, really funny.
