Is Tiger finished? Nope.

Former President Bill Clinton is the only elected president ever to be impeached. He pleaded guilty to contempt of court for lying under oath and temporarily lost his law license. Does Clinton draw down the window shades, only to venture out under cover of night to go to the ATM? Please. He blamed the Republicans, who wanted to "overturn elections." Defenders said, "Everybody lies about sex." Had the Constitution permitted it, Clinton could have won a third term.

When Clinton first ran for president, he admitted on "60 Minutes" having had "problems with his marriage." People interpreted this to mean an acknowledgment of previous cheating with a promise to sin no more. But he did. He lied to the country about it. He lied about it under oath. Today he strolls around the globe, an elder statesman whose opinions are sought out and somberly considered.

Comparatively, Tiger's situation is much less serious than the former President's. He, like Clinton, caused traumatic harm to his marriage and family. Unlike Clinton, he committed no crime. It remains to be seen what the future holds for the Woods family. Unlike Clinton, Tiger will probably "buy" his way out of his situation and then continue doing what he has always done - play golf. Here's the question. From a pure financial (not ethical) viewpoint, would you want to sponsor the first golf tournament Tiger plays in after the dust settles? I would. People who can't spell "golf" will be watching it.

So, once again, the mighty has fallen only to rise again. Maybe to a smaller degree, there's a lesson in there for us all.

It seems like, as Andrew says, there are no good role models any more. I definitely don't want to ever be famous. It seems like it only changes people for the worse.

"I definitely don't want to ever be famous." ESPECIALLY in our business. It's never a good thing.

True statement.

Unless you're Sully.

I don't know if even Sully was glad to become famous in that way. Given a choice, I'm sure he wouldn't want to go through a ditiching again.

I predict Tiger takes a year off from the tour to work on his marriage and his addiction.
