Let's not let facts get in the way, shall we?

As we all come down from our Thanksgiving highs and lows, it's important to remember that life goes on in Washington. This week the US Senate is going to debate the 2000+ page healthcare bill. While the debate itself may seem meaningless to us peons, it is important to note it's another step forward towards nationalizing healthcare in America. The next step is reaching a compromise with the House version, and the final step is a vote.

What the woman representing the liberal view in the above video is showing us is the mindset of the left. That mindset is, "Don't confuse me with the facts!". When confronted with what the bill actually says, she refuses to acknowledge the truth. This is what is happening in both Houses of the democratically controlled Congress. They are refusing to acknowledge the truth of what they are about to do to America.

However, there is one truth our elected representatives will face. That's the threat of losing their job if they refuse to represent the will of the people. We, as citizens, have the right AND the responsibility to let our elected representatives know our views. If we don't and they go on to create a socialized state, then we have only ourselves to blame.

Let's not let them create this monstrosity and then decide we want to go back and fix it. We need to stop it now before it destroys life as we know it. Contact your representatives now and let them know how you feel.
