He spoke the truth

While maybe the outburst was not the most decorous act during the speech, one thing is for sure. Representative Wilson spoke the truth. If not, then why won't the Democrats on the various committees writing the law agree to specific wording that will restrict illegal aliens from receiving national health care? I'll tell you why. They want to buy the Hispanic vote. You go Joe!

Representative Joe Wilson (D-SC)

When I heard that shout out I figured it came from the Peanut Gallery. When I heard it was a Congressman I'm thinking - this debate is gonna get good....

He just made a fool out of himself in my opinion. For all the crap we gave Democrats for their treatment of Bush, this is not the way to get in the good graces of the voters. There's a time and place to call out the President like this, but last night was neither.

The whole lying thing is up for debate, in my opinion. It sounded to me like Obama was drafting his own plan in the speech, instead of specifically talking about H.R. 3200, which he never mentioned. I don't think you can say he was lying, if he wasn't talking about the bill. Maybe something more concrete will come out in the future, with his stamp on it.

Actually, "the whole lying thing" is NOT up for debate. Check the following link: http://blog.heritage.org/2009/09/10/obama-speech-fact-check/

I think he should have added "pants on fire" for special emphasis.
