Breaking Wind

On Earth Day, President Obama held up a model he wants America to emulate. "Denmark produces almost 20 percent of their electricity through wind power, " he chided. But Denmark rues the day it got into the wind business. Because wind is so volatile and unpredictable, the Danes have had to use 50 percent more coal-generated electricity to cover its power gaps, causing their carbon emissions to go UP 36 percent. They have yet to close a fossil-fuel plant, have lost 2.2 jobs for every "green" one they've gained, and they have the highest electricity costs in all of Europe, according to the The (Canada) National Post. So no, the answer's not blowing in the wind -- it's bubbling underground. - from The Limbaugh Letter

It doesn't matter what actually works. Wind is in. Wind is hip man. Wind is cool. Wind is happenin. But most of all, wind is politically correct.

Wind blows....:)

Have you been near these windmill farms? They're spooky. I drove thru hundreds on my way to visit Charlie in 29 Palms, CA. I kept hearing this whoop-whoop-whoop as I was driving up the mountains. Thinking something was wrong with his car I pulled over, only to realize it was these crazy things

We used to drive through the giant windmill farm going from Ontario, CA to Palm Springs. It was disconcerting at best. Most of the windmills weren't turning. They do make great bird killers though. Apparently someone has to rake the dead bodies up ever so often before the coyotes start coming in.
