Apparently THIS prayer was acceptable.

"Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around...
(LAUGHTER)
... when yellow will be mellow...
(LAUGHTER)
LOWERY: ... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen."
AUDIENCE: Amen.
- Reverend Joseph Lowry at the Obama inauguration.

US News and World Report recently reported that Obama opens virtually all his "events" and "appearances" with a prayer. That's the good news. The bad news is Obama is rarely present when the prayer is given because there are concerns within his administration that the media may be filming when the prayer is given. Worse news is all of the prayers are vetted by Obama staff prior to be given. When asked how long this had been going on, a campaign staffer said, "It started during the campaign." In other words, nevermind God, Obama must approve of your prayer if you're asked to give one. This has never been done in recent history by any President. And worse still, prayer givers are encouraged to not use Jesus' name so as not to offend anyone. Like who? Barack Hussein Obama and his supporters?

Interesting. I didn't know BO had to approve all prayers. He is the Messiah ya know. I like what the real Messiah said better.
Matthew 6:5-6 (New International Version)
5 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
