"President" Obama on Drugs

Obama has written about his drug use before in his memoir, Dreams from My Father. "Junkie. Pothead. That's where I'd been headed: the final fatal role of the young would be black man," Obama wrote. Mostly he smoked marijuana and drank alcohol, Obama wrote, but occasionally he would SNORT COCAINE when he could afford it. Drugs, Obama wrote, were a way he "could push questions of who I was out of my mind, something that could flatten out the landscape of my heart, blur the edges of my memory." I wonder how he would react to the pressures of the Presidency? But Obama rarely talks about the drug use on the campaign trail. Of course not, but the McCain campaign should!

I knew the tone of the campaign would get ugly for the last 30 days(still waiting for a right wing nut job 527 group to start running the "white girl" ads) but I didn't know this blog would go downhill so fast. Looks like it's touching all the bases this week-homophobia, shady pictures of "the black man"(is he still using drugs, has he stopped beating his wife, etc.), terrorist "rumours" and guilt by association (hmmmm...Charles Barkley plays basketball, Barack likes to play basketball....is Charles Barkley qualified to be President?). Looks like it's back to the three G's(gays, guns and God) for the Hail Mary pass.

Yep, Barkley is as qualified as Obama to be President. Am I starting to see the 'ole race card peeking from the deck?
