The Singing Pilot
This is Dan Mossman who is a friend of mine. We used to be instructors on the DC9 together. He was on my jumpseat recently and we were having a conversation about musical instruments, etc. Then he told me he was on "You Tube", originally unbeknownst to him. Apparently after 9/11, he decided to do an impromptu concert for the cabin and someone taped him, then posted it on "You Tube". He's quite a character and actually quite musically talented. He's been known to make his PAs in song. We were talking about playing the harmonica and he pulled one out and did a very nice rendition of "Amazing Grace" in the cockpit. Dan recently had a knee replaced complete with complications. I told him I knew someone just like that. He's retiring in a few months. Captain Dan will be missed.

Seems like a really cool guy. What was the problem with his knee replacement?
I really need some kind of gig like that.
That's awesome. Have you been known to ever belt out a tune or two?
Never, ever. It would be too painful to those subjected to it.
yeah but your fake weather forecast when landing in Phoenix on April Fool's Day was a darn good prank.
