would someone like this be taken seriously as a Senatorial candidate.

after electing a pro wrestler as governor, I think a electing a comedian as your senator is a step up for MN. I think his mother-in-law might make a good state representative. I don't know much about Franken other than I never thought he was very funny as a comedian and he bailed out of the Air America Network of liberal talk radio after it declared bankruptcy. If he believes so strongly in liberalism, why didn't he continue to work for the tiny little network without a paycheck? I do believe the government should serve in a limited capacity as a safety net but the problem with liberal politicians is they don't know where to draw the line. They always end up saying "Mr Victim...if you vote for me, I'll get you free stuff from the government and that will solve all your problems." They always think throwing "other people's money" at issues will solve the problems but it doesn't.

I forgot about the wrestler gov! Franken is obviously looking for a gig-his humor sucks and Air America was a joke. Maybe he should go for a higher office and get Bill Maher as a running mate

I wonder what makes Minnesota a hotbed for liberals?
